Cookie policy

This policy describes the cookies and other storage technologies used by moultaka.app, by the platform my.moultaka.app and by the public event pages, why we use them and how you can control them.

1.What cookies and similar technologies are

A cookie is a small text file placed on your device by a website. Browsers also offer other storage areas (local storage, session storage, IndexedDB) that work in a similar way. In this policy, “cookies” covers all of them.

2.Our principles

  • All the cookies listed here are set by us, on our own domains.
  • We do not use advertising cookies, we do not follow you from one site to another and we do not sell any data.
  • Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent, because the service cannot work without them. The measurement identifier described below can be refused by deleting it, without affecting the service.

3.On moultaka.app

The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the page loads, without setting cookies.

The workspace also uses the browser’s local storage for your preferences and recent items, and, on check-in stations and kiosks, an encrypted offline copy of the data needed to keep scanning and printing badges when the connection drops.

6.Third-party services

Some features, used only when you call on them, involve third parties who may set their own cookies under their own policies: signing in with Google or LinkedIn, and the address search and maps (Google Maps, Mapbox) in the organizer workspace. The participant apps use Google Firebase to deliver notifications and to measure their use, as described in the privacy policy.

7.How to control cookies

You can view and delete cookies and stored data at any time in your browser’s settings (usually under Privacy or Site data), and block them for a given site. If you block strictly necessary cookies, you will not be able to sign in to the platform or resume an unfinished form. In the participant apps, you can turn notifications off in your phone’s settings.

8.Changes and contact

We update this policy whenever we add or remove a cookie; the date at the top of the page shows the latest version. For any question, write to privacy@moultaka.app.
