Born from the Cosmetica team
Legacy Exhibitions is a trade show organiser based in Algiers. Its roots go back to 1965, when Mohamed Farrah started out in events and began a craft his family has handed down ever since. In 2021 the new generation, Mohamed Walid Farrah, Ashraf Ziri and Meriem Farrah, set out to create shows of their own, for sectors growing fast in Algeria.
Three came out of that idea: Algeria Event Show, Cosmetica and CosmeOran. The third was given to the team that runs Cosmetica, the Algiers show for the whole cosmetics supply chain. CosmeOran takes that experience west, to Oran, and speaks to a different crowd: the people who buy and use the products.
A show for the public of western Algeria
CosmeOran is first a consumer show. The organiser describes western Algeria as the region with the strongest appetite for cosmetics in the country, and the show is built for it. Visitors come to see what is new in skin care, make-up, hair and fragrance, try products before they buy them, watch live demonstrations and pick up offers kept for the show.
Professionals walk the same aisles. Distributors and wholesalers, pharmacies, hair and beauty salons, nail bars, perfume shops, beauty academies and dermatologists come alongside the shoppers.

Putting Algerian makers in front
The organiser puts it plainly: the first aim of CosmeOran is to promote Algerian cosmetics companies to the public of the Oran region. The stands carry face and body care, organic and natural products, perfumes and scented candles, hygiene products, equipment for beauty salons and spas, and even wellness and fitness offers.
Trade is part of the plan. The show brings exhibitors and potential buyers together so that deals are signed on the spot, especially with distributors from the west of the country. It also aims to help the regional economy by drawing visitors, investors and jobs. CosmeOran is held under the high patronage of Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion.
Three editions in Oran
Every edition so far has taken place at the Mohamed Benahmed Convention Centre in Oran. The first, from 5 to 8 June 2024, stood out for the strong turnout of the public from western Algeria, as the organiser tells it. The second, from 7 to 10 May 2025, brought together more than 50,000 visitors, more than 80 exhibitors and more than 10 workshops.
For 2026, held from 6 to 9 May, the organiser lists more than 100 exhibitors across more than 6,000 m², and says the third edition drew more than 50,000 visitors from all over western Algeria. On the booking form, stands range from 9 to 72 m². The show returns to the same venue from 30 June to 3 July 2027.

A place to learn as well as to buy
Visitors also come to learn. The workshops teach make-up, hair and skin care techniques and the trends of the moment, and speakers apply to run one through a form on the show’s website. Announced for the second edition, COSMEORAN ACADEMY is meant for beauty professionals: they meet experts to learn the techniques of the trade and serve their own clients better.
For all four days, a special area hosts start-ups picked by the team, along with craftspeople presenting their products. A presentation space lets exhibitors show what is new to thousands of visitors from across the Oran region. The days are long: doors open at 11 a.m. and close in the evening.
The show’s website, connected to Moultaka
CosmeOran keeps its own website, cosmeoran.com. For the 2026 edition, its exhibitor list came straight from the team’s Moultaka workspace: each exhibitor the organiser recorded there appeared on the show’s site, with nothing typed twice. As early as the first edition, in 2024, the site’s “Inscription des visiteurs” button already led to a Moultaka registration form.
Moultaka has worked with CosmeOran since the 2024 edition, as it has with Cosmetica in Algiers.
